How to Set Up Notifications
Go to your Settings menu, and select Notifications. If Notifications is not listed in your Settings menu, contact your administrator.
Choose a business and time - notifications are set individually for each business you have access to.
Use the drop-down menus to set parameters and activate them with the toggle on the right:
There are both Daily and Conditional notifications available.
Yesterday's Performance: A daily notification of yesterday's Gross Sales, Net Sales, Customer Count, and/or Check Average.
YOY Net Sales: A daily comparison of yesterday's sales to last year's sales.
Conditional notifications don't send every day, they alert you to when sales have dipped or promos have spiked.
Sales Dip: For when sales are lower than normal. Be alerted when sales are the specified percentage below their comparison point. This is a good way to get a heads up on poor performance when you don't have time to review sales reports daily for every outlet
Yesterday's Sales Dip - Sent when yesterday's sales are (5, 10, 15, or 20%) less than Same Day Last Week
Week-to-Date Sales Dip - Sent when WTD sales are (5, 10, 15, or 20%) less than WTD Last Week
Month-to-Date Sales Dip - Sent when MTD sales are (5, 10, 15, or 20%) less than MTD Last Month
Promo Spikes: Alerts for when Promotions/Discounts/Comps show a sudden or marked increase. Get alerts when Promos rise the specified percentage above their reference point.
Yesterday's Promo Spike - Sent when yesterday's promos are greater than 1-10% of Sales
Week-to-Date Promo Spike - Sent when WTD promos are higher than last week
Month-to-Date Promo Spike - Sent when MTD promos are higher than last month
Edit & Delete Notifications
To change your notifications go to Settings > Notifications and use the drop-down menus to change the parameters of each notification:
To discontinue or delete a notification, switch the toggle on the right to Off:
Will I receive this notification every day?
Some notifications are daily, such as YOY Net Sales which will send an email everyday with yesterday's sales compared to last year.
Conditional notifications will only send under certain conditions, such as Yesterday's Sales Dip, which will send only when yesterday's sales fall below the threshold you select in the drop-down menu compared to last week.
Help! I didn't receive my notification!
If you are not receiving the notifications you've set up, check that the toggle on the right is set to ON and shows blue:
Next, check if you are looking for a daily notification or a conditional notification. If the notification is conditional, it will not send every day, only when conditions are met.
Also, check your spam/junk folder. Notifications are sent from email@example.com
Another user needs to receive the same notifications as me.
Notifications are set by users individually. If you want to share your notifications with your whole team, you can forward the email notification to them or send them these instructions to set up their own notifications!
