Transfers & Avero
There may be times a check is opening in one revenue center and closed in another, or opened by one employee and sent to another to continue service. These are referred to as Transfers and every POS handles them a little differently.

What is a transfer?
Transfers are any checks that change hands (transferred between employees) or locations (transferred between revenue centers). So if a guest opens a check at the bar, then later moves to a table in the Dining Room and closes their check there, that is considered a transfer.
Will I see transferred checks in Avero?
Only the most robust data sets send information on transferred checks, usually an on-premise POS solution like Micros 3700 POS. Many POS systems do not include transfer information in the data provided to Avero. To check if this data is available for your system, select your system from our list of *Avero POS Integrations to view a complete guide to your POS.
Avero does not control the availability of transfer information, this is in the hands of your POS company. Avero will display all the transfer information available for your system and data.
What happens when a guest orders items from multiple revenue centers?
Checks can not be split up among multiple Revenue Centers, so checks will either show as the originating revenue center or as a transfer between revenue centers. For a POS system that sends complete data, you'll see the transfer noted on the check showing the items transferred to or from the check. For systems with limited data, you may see a record that there was a transfer, but not what was transferred, or you may not see the transfer reflect, depending on the data points provided by your system.
Avero does not control the availability of transfer information, this is in the hands of your POS company. Avero will display all the transfer information available for your system and data.
Why am I seeing .01 transfers?
Some systems, such as Micros Simphony On-Premise, send data showing that a transfer happened, but without details on the transfer. Items on transferred checks do not come across in Avero. The only thing we can detect is a transfer which is represented by a -.01 but not the items, or item amounts.
