Is data missing from your email report?
This article will walk you through the steps to troubleshoot your emails with missing or incomplete data.
Have you recently made changes to your business's configuration? Changing or adding revenue centers, meal periods, etc takes a full day to register in logbook reports. If you don't see the changes reflected in the logbook the next morning, don't despair, it will be reflected in the days moving forward.
1. Confirm sales have been loaded by running a Category Sales report for yesterday in Avero. If your report returns with no data, please do the following:
- If your Category Sales Report returns with no sales data and you have a cloud export system, please open a ticket.
- If your Category Sales Report returned with no sales data for an on-premise system, please follow the steps below.
- Locate Avero DEU (Data Extraction Utility) on POS server
- Confirm yesterday is selected and click “Run”
- Allow up to 2 hours for data to load
- If data is still missing, open a ticket.
2. If your Category Sales Report returns with sales, verify the email setup.
- Navigate to Saved Reports in Avero
- Verify the email’s send time is not earlier than when Avero receives data (typically by 10 AM local time)
Note: If the email is for a single business, we recommend selecting the box “Do not send until data is loaded”. If the email is for multiple businesses and some of those businesses do not have daily sales, we do NOT recommend selecting this box. |
3. If data is available in Avero and looks incomplete in a Logbook Daily Email, it is likely that the logbook template is not setup correctly.
- Navigate to Settings > Logbook (If you do not have this access, contact your Avero Administrator).
- Locate the logbook template for the business’ logbook you are troubleshooting.
- Verify that the Revenue Centers and Meal Periods include all of the correct data for the business.
- If you would like to see all sales data rolled up, it is a best practice to have “ALL” selected for both Revenue Center and Meal Period.
- If you would like to see sales broken out for multiple logbooks (Ex: Lunch logbook or Dinner logbook) then the Revenue Centers and Meal Periods should be individually selected
- If you would like to customize your Revenue Centers and Meal Periods, we recommend verifying your setup in Avero first.
- Run a Category Sales Report in Avero.
- All programmed meal periods from the selected date range will be listed under Meal Periods in the Report Generator.
- If you would like to customize your Revenue Centers and Meal Periods, we recommend verifying your setup in Avero first.
Note: Logbook Template changes will not update retroactively. Please confirm the changes made to the template the following business day. |
Who can edit an emailed report?
To find out who is the creator of the report, scroll to the bottom of a recently received emailed report, the creator is listed in the footer, under Avero's address.
When you Remove Business Access from a user, it will also remove them from emailed reports distribution lists and disable any automated reports they have set up. If this is the case, set the report up again under a current user.
