Here are some of the common questions we receive about Single Sign-On or SSO.
- What is Single Sign-On?
- Does Avero offer SSO?
- How do I log in with SSO?

- How do I log out with SSO?
- What if I forget to log out of SSO?

What is Single Sign-On?
Single Sign-On, also referred to as SSO is a way large organizations can reduce the number of times employees have to log in to various systems by tying the systems back to their email account/basic login information. This makes it much easier on you!
Does Avero offer SSO?
Avero has developed the ability to enable SSO for organizations and is currently testing this feature before wide release. If SSO interests your organization, mention it to your Account Manager who can inform you of the current state of the project, and its availability.
How do I log in with SSO?
For SSO, you will still have an Avero username but not a password unique to Avero.
Similar to the regular user login experience, go to login.averoinc.com and enter your Avero Username. Instead of page loading to a password screen, you will see it load to your company's internal login screen for your identity provider. This may be an intranet or other login page.
How do I log in to the mobile app with SSO?
Logging in to the mobile app will function the same as logging in to the web application - once you input your Avero username the mobile app will redirect you to your company's login page. If you are only able to log in to your company's page on-site, you will only be able to log in to the mobile app on-site but, unlike the web application, our mobile app will not automatically log you out and you can maintain connection when off property.
How do I log out with SSO?
Once you are logged in to Avero, you will see your experience as any other user. This means if you close the page, log out, or allow your session to time out the session will be ended and you will need to log in again. You can still log out by clicking on your profile and selecting 'Log Out.'
What if I forget to log out of SSO?
Avero session time out and log you out after 20 minutes of inactivity.
Can I use SSO remotely?
Access to Avero is now governed by your company login, so if you are able to login to your company portal from home, you can log in to Avero from home as well.
If your company restricts access to when you are on property, then you will only be able to log in to Avero when you are on property. This is not in Avero's control and can only be governed by your IT team.
I received an SSO error message!
Error Message: You do not have access to Avero. Please contact your Avero administrator for assistance.
This means you are not an active Avero user, but you are active in the identity provider that powers SSO. Meaning you have a company login, but not Avero access. Reach out to the Avero admin at your property to be invited!
Error message: Associated login identity not found. Please contact your company's IT administrator for assistance.
This means that you are not an active user in the company's sign-on directory, whether or not you have active Avero access. You may already have a username and login for Avero but cannot use the Single Sign-On feature without an active company login in the IDP (identity provider). You should contact your organization's IT department for assistance in being added to the directory.
