Whitelisting
Data Transfer - Port, Protocol, and Destination Allowlisting
IT Departments should whitelist our universal IP: 198.2.178.99
All data is compressed and encrypted in transit. To learn more, see: How does Avero get my data?
The following IPs and ports should be whitelisted in your firewall:
Site | IP Address | Protocol | Port |
ftp.averoinc.com | 208.251.179.210 | Active FTP/HTTP | 20 21 80 |
hfs.averoinc.com | 208.251.179.222 | HTTP | 80 |
ftps.averoinc.com | 208.251.179.213 | Passive FTP | 21, 15000-15500 |
rightnowapi.averoinc.com | 208.251.179.228 | HTTPS | 443 |
sftp.averoinc.com* | 208.251.179.214 | SFTP* | 22 |
*By special request only, please contact support@averoinc.com to arrange
Please note: Our Data Extraction Utility allows natively for 3 protocols: HTTP, FTPS, FTP. We recommend allowlisting each port, protocol, and destination listed. If a particular protocol is disallowed by your security settings, you may skip allowlisting it, however this may interfere with your ability to send data in the future if your firewall conditions change.
Email Service Allowlisting
The following email addresses will be used in Avero's communication with you, be sure they are marked as safe within your organization's email server:
- Accountsreceivable@averoinc.com - Invoices & Billing-related Correspondence
- Slingshot@averoinc.com - Avero Emailed Reports & User-generated Communication
- emailverify@averoinc.com - Forgot Password / Forgot Username Reset Emails
If you are using Avero Right Now for real time sales information be sure to whitelist our right now agent in addition:
208.251.179.228 |
HTTPS |
443 |
Spam & Junk Folders
If a user is missing an expected Avero email, be sure to check junk/spam folders to see if the inbox logic has missorted it.
If the missing email is found there, mark it safe.
If unwanted emailed reports are received, reach out to the property administrator and ask them to be removed - do not mark scheduled email reports as junk/spam to prevent these issues.
I don't have an IT department, can I whitelist?
Windows admins can whitelist, Microsoft has posted instructions:
Whitelisting with the Windows Firewall
To manage the whitelist in the Windows Firewall, click Start, type firewall and click Windows Firewall. Click Allow a program or feature through Windows Firewall (or, if you’re using Windows 10, click Allow an app or feature through Windows Firewall).
On the next screen, click Change settings, then tick or untick the box next to an item to allow or block it - refer to the top of this article for the relevant information to whitelist.
