If a currently subscribed Avero business is moving to a new ownership group, management company, or needs to transfer its subscription to a new entity, Avero Support will assist you in making this change.
Businesses can be transferred to a new entity (whether or not the group acquiring the business is also an Avero subscriber), and their current subscription will always transfer with them. Historical data can also be transferred with the subscription for a fee (limits apply). Users cannot be transferred and must be reinvited as new users once the transfer is complete.
Step One - Determine what needs to be transferred & gather information
- Gather the Billing Contact's email address for the current Avero subscriber and the new legal entity or organization acquiring the business(es)
- Make sure you know the POS type in use at the business(es)
- Will historical data be transferred to the new entity (new owner or management group)?
- Note: Historical Data can be transferred for a fee. Historical data can either remain with the old business and Avero account to be used for historical reporting purposes OR it may be transferred with the business to the new entity; it cannot be copied and present in both the old and new entity.
- If historical data is requested to transfer, Avero Support will require written confirmation from both entities (via the Billing Contacts provided in the form) to confirm both parties approve the data transfer.
Step Two - Submit the Business Migration Request Form
Once you have this information ready, click here to submit a Business Migration Request Form, and the Avero Support Team will work with you to make the necessary updates.
Note: If historical data is migrating, you will experience a period of downtime without access to Avero while we make the change. Avero Support will provide an estimate of the downtime based on the amount of data migrating.
